I have been looking around over the last few days and have come across V7N which looks strong and DigitalPoint too.

Some others have surprised me though. A couple in particlar that look like quite old sites have been completely overrun by spam. One has heavy duty spam that is up to several months old. It seems like the Marie Celeste on there.

Maybe they are up for a sale?

Another little theory of mine, but one which no one else talks about is Traffic Rating.

I’ve suspected for some time that if you build a new page and it gains Natural traffic via Google, that it gains an extra strengh that boosts the whole site, almost an opposite effect to my theory above, and possibly used for a balancing effect.

Well done Terry another great post.

We learnt a little while ago about duplicate posts so moved away from them prior to Panda which was lucky.

Can you foresee any other Google updates soon?

Remember, it’s only my little theory so don’t go acting on it too much.

With small sites like yours duplicate content shouldn’t be that much of an issue, if you do go deleting pages make sure you back up first and make sure you adapt the navigation to allow for the removed pages, better still just block them from the engines until you are sure no damage is done by there removal.

Half the battle is ensuring you delete the right page when you have similar pages, you don’t want to go deleting the stronger one and leaving the weaker one.

To be honest, I wouldn’t delete anything of your site, unless it really isn’t serving a purpose.

Great stuff as usual… this Panda mallarky would explain why Google has linked my four places listings together as one hybrid listing ! Also why some of my other pages don’t show!! Deleting time I think. So…. as I’m already on Googles’ front page 2 – 3 times for specific terms. What will happen when I strip out the duplicate pages?
